Windows doesn't open Alexander!!!!

Hello,
I bought Alexander and I've installed it. But when I open the game, it stops and it returns to windows. Why??
I tried upon another computer of my home (with approximatively the same configuration except the memory) and it works well.
Configuration where it doesn't work - AMD1800+, ATI 9600 and 384Mo RAM
Configuration where it works - AMD2400+, ATI 7500 (older) and 512Mo RAM
Can you explain me why!!! (and please with easy words, I'm french!!!!!

Everything depends on what video card you are running, then what processor you have, then the amount of ram on your system, then your settings for your swap file. What are your specs??
