Hello all, I want to go back to the 3.7 Cats but I am unsure if I am able to since I have a 9800XT.

Can I? I have already tried the 3.9s and 3.10 (and the Omega driver versions for each).

Yay or nay on 3.7 Cat. compatibility?

Thanks!

I think I've seen posts here from people with 9800XT's who have had success with the 3.7's. I'll be attempting to run mine on 3.6 when I get it on Moday, then I'll upgrade the drivers and see if 3.10 is better or worse. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I bought the 9800xt and tried the cat 3.7's. They won't load. I've tried 3.8, 3.9, 3.10 and the omega 3.9's and 3.10's. For me the omega 3.10's work the best.

Do you have anything connected to your s-video port? 3.7 and below seems to have problems sometimes on startup if you have something connected to that port. But hey...the 3.10's work on your 9800XT, so maybe I won't be afraid to try them on mine when I get it, it does bad things on an 8500 (my current, soon-to-be-retired vid card).

Rgr that Ruggbutt the Omega 3.10 drivers work best for me too, the Sapphire 3.10 drivers stopped Lock On from starting up

Thanks guys!

As I suspected...the 3.7s will NOT function http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

That's ok though, the 3.10 Omegas were still damn good..I just wanted FSAA in Strike Fighters. Back to 1600x1200x32!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

im running with the 3.9 results me better 3dmark than the 3.10 but the difference is not much, but the 3.7 was longtime the suggested one on overclockers/ benchmark sites... see ati is also not the crack about drivers but on hardware! fundamentally theyre not changed only fixed some bugs in some games etc. but then sometimes on cost of the performance i heard... 3.9 or 3.10 are recommended!

I play Call of Duty and the 3.10's are supposed to fix a problem w/that game. I never saw what the prob is but when I updated the drivers there wasn't a difference w/how LOMAC performed so I saw no need to reinstall the 3.9's.
