I made a nearly historically accurate Pearl Harbor attack mission. Here are a couple of screenies:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/HH_Beebop/PearlHarbor1941.jpg

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v289/HH_Beebop/PearlDrydocks.jpg

You and a wingman take off from Hickam Field as waves of Japanese dive bombers, torpedo bombers and fighters attack.
How many can you destroy/damage/cause to drop their ordinance before you are shot down? You can "win" if you sucessfully land back at Hickam.

Requires the merged version of FB/AEP/PF and a "beefy" computer (sorry) as there are lots and lots of objects.
I liberally substituted Russian battleships and cruisers instead of using the generic US battleship (an Iowa class I belive) so it looked more like 1941.

Mission design is based on hunderds of photographs from US and Japanese sources. I belive I have placed most everything as historically accurate as possible given the contraints of the game. Included are the drydocks and the sub pens. shortly after the mission begins the Shaw dramatically explodes. (Thats what a wellplaced 5,000 Kg bomb will do. True the "atomic cloud" isn't historical but the resulting explosion recreates the dramatic death of the Shaw.

I hope you enjoy the mission and the challange.

Comments welcome.

The mission can be found here:

No. But a couple of big swarthy sailors knocked on my door saying the USN had copyrighted December 7th. They were about to take my money when a lot of Japanese planes flew over. They skeedaddled and four very neatly dressed Japanese businessmen appeared and politely asked me to give them the money as the Japanese Government had thought of the idea first. I was going to refuse until I noticed the Ninja behind them.

ROFLMAO

Well another Pearl Harbour mission. I'm a newbie mission builder so if its better than mine I'll be interested in this version...

but it is a little bit of a slap after doing all that work. Sigh.

Is this the 1st wave, 2nd wave, or both? I am currently working on the 2nd wave attack right now... its much much better than my 1st ever mission attempt with the 1st wave. You have close competition here.

Oh. and can you e-mail me it too please? danielthorlby@hotmail.com

Danschnell;

I do not mean to "compete" with you.
How about 'great minds think alike'?

Check your e-mail sir.

Beebop...

Wish I could fly it too. FL is still down. I've been trying to DL the Sakai campaign for a few days now too. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

Can I send you my e-mail & get a copy of the file?

PMs are down too...

just send it to jayarbro @ hotmail.com (without the spaces). If I start getting spammed, I'll just use that addy for stuff like this. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I've flown the stock Pearl harbor mission and gotten as many as 5 enemy AC, but I would love to see it a little more the way it really was. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
