Instead of Bebop and Rocksteady or possibly Slash, we get Hip Hop Mikey?

Thank you Ubisoft for giving us the middle finger. I now know not to trust a ****ing thing your developers say in interviews because they're all ****ing liars and cheapskates.

All I can say now is this game better get some damn good reviews saying the gameplay makes up for it or the TMNT license might as well go to a more credible company.

Ok, perhaps it's different.. still that doesn't take out the two rabbids... And the seemingly DECREASING roster for some reason. >=(

Ubisoft just defecated on all MY hopes for this game... It's kinda pointless to be here now. Hype has gone below 0 now.

The game is fun. It plays a lot like a mix between Smash Bros. and a traditional fighter. I love seeing some of the massive insane combos I can pull off, especially with the Wind Ninja Art equipped.

That having been said, the remaining characters in the roster are ridiculous. Ubisoft knows what sort of characters would work best here, what we've all been telling them since word first broke on this game: characters like Bebop, Rocksteady, Leatherhead, Triceratons... heck, even guys like Hun and Bishop are infinitely more welcome than the floating turds that have been revealed as of late.

News flash, guys: nobody wants to play as a Rabbid in a TMNT game, especially a silver anniversary celebratory one.

I was thinking maybe these two Rabbids are the only ones in the game.

Perhaps, they also have their own costumes (Raving gets cheerleader and Ninja Raving gets Sam Fisher/Splinter Cell outfit).

Put it this way.

The amount of people who'd want to play as either Bishop, Hun, Bebop, Rocksteady or even someone less popular and obsecure like Sydney/Quarry or Chaplin would FAR outweigh those who would want Rabbids. Though Chaplin would be ridiculous without Stockman, but better Chaplin than rabids.

Is shoving Rabbids down my throat inside of some far better choices going to make me want to play a Rabbids game? No... It is going to make me hate any rabbid game with a passion before I've even played it. I don't know and I don't want to know anything about them.

It might be unfair of me not to give them a fair chance, but it's out of principal and mind you I got all the characters I wanted, heaven help you when it comes to someone who really wants someone who missed the cut.

Whoever made this marketing decision is an idiot and should be fired because this tactic I can only see ending in tears, its going to have the reverse effect, it does not make me want to play Rabbids games, it makes me hate them and I think a fair few will take a similar stand.

The sad thing is, because of this debacle involving the character choices, many people will never play this game. It really is a solid and fun game. But it was also marketed as a celebration of the Turtles' 25th anniversary, as well as fanservice on a disc. It hasn't lived up to that aspect.

I like the Rabbids. I would have even tolerated one (maybe Ninja Rabbid) as a guest character ala Soulcalibur. However, three of them, when there are so few characters in comparison, is insane.

As a fighting game fan, I feel like I got my money's worth. As a TMNT fan, which I am first and foremost, I feel like I got royally screwed.

Well, see, the main reason people may turn away from the game in this way, is how this game was being touted. People fully expected to see characters in the game that were in the TMNT universe.

To another end, the plot of the game is the most generic TMNT story ever. Did Laird really write this poo? I find it hard to believe. The comic that came with it actually does a better job of framing the story. Heck, I would have much rather had the Oni Samurai from the comic playable than three Rabbids.

The problem isn't the number of rabbids, at least for me. It's the fact that, by all appearances at this time, they LIED about how many characters are in the game, the official website still shows slots for 20 characters. 20 Characters with 3 rabbids would be fantastic, but it's looking like we got 16 characters with 3 rabbids.

Play as your favorite TMNT character? NO, play as your favorite TMNT TURTLE...or rabbid, or go screw yourself, love, Ubisoft.

Well I plan to buy the game still, I'd be a fool to say I wouldn't. But I am going to fiercely oppose rabbids.

There's two issues at hand. First them lying about the roster (or appearing to unless there's some uber secret character or w/e) and secondly making 15% of the roster occupied by Rabbids. I think its just like rubbing salt into the wound.
