Resolution seems to be locked at 1024x768, I'll investigate further with the devteam when I'm able to.

Monday because I'm waiting on a courier to arrive and therefore don't have time to start on Photoshopping pictures http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

like the man said, the res is locked at 1024x768.. this does not mean that thats the way its going to be... though i have to admit, it will be dissapointing if it is.. higher resolution gives u greater detail and less pixelation. thanks for the news ubirazz, we await a definite answer to the res question. If the game is stuck with 1024x768 res, then its not a dead end yet, i'm sure this can be fixed later with a patch..

And all cos some stupid specialist wanted to stick needles in my back that would have frightened an elephant (They certainly scared the c**p out of me till the anaesthetic kicked in!!)

....Excuse me while I go and quietly beat my head against the wall....*sniff*

Seriously though, glad you had a great day. I'm lookning forward to hear the comments from the guys that attended.

Hi guys!

WHAT A DAY!

To start with I would like the thank UbiRazz, awesome day man, just awesome.

OK, to everyone who is concerned about SHIII....don't be! It is fantastic. Yes, the res seems to be locked at 1024X768 but the game just looks sweet.

AI? Nowt wrong with it where I was sat. I was playing a single mission with less than realistic settings and was VERY impressed with the enemies tactics. There was one point where 3 frigates were hunting me and they got a little too close to each other. It looked like they were going to collide but one of them actually reversed out of the way! It was a pleasure to watch ( and I got away http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif ).

Start a career, get onboard your boat and watch as you leave the harbour. The national anthem is playing, there are people everywhere waving you goodbye, girls throwing flowers etc. Yes, it is that good.

Multiplayer was a blast! 4 of us sneaked into the middle of a carrier task force and had a blast! Take my word for it though guys, this isn't a game that's easy and no challenge. Again we were on easyish settings and there were many moments when my jaw dropped as I watched the enemy ships looking for us and attacking us. Fantastic.

The graphics are stunnning, so good in fact that you can just sit there and watch everything else and not actually do anything! There is a single player missions where you are in the middle of the sink the Bismark battle. It is superb just watching these capital ships slug it out!

I took some photo's, not sure how they came out yet as I have literally just got in! Will post them if they are any good.

OK, the final word. This game is awesome. Better than I expected and hoped for. I feel very lucky indeed to have played it early and for that I want to thank Ubisoft. To all you guys out there trust me, you will simply LOVE IT!

Warren.

PS, The mission editor is also sweet. Easy and powerfull.

Warren_537, nice report! Thank you very much.

Very pleased to hear the AI wasent instantly ******ed but actually believable. Also pleased to hear the game is challenging even on semi-easy settings.

Good news... watching for pics! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for a great day !!!!!!!!!
The game is absolutely superb.
(Those unable able to attend, you won't be disappointed. The game delivers everything as described in the release statements and so much more !)
All those who have had their part to play in the development & publication of what will surely be the benchmark for other developers; deserve the undying gratitude of the genre's fans.
We were allowed full access to the game both in single and multi-player and spent 5 hours playing the game.
The ocean & weather graphics were brilliant, possibly the best yet see in any naval game.
All ships, including the various types of
U-Boats were exceptionally well modelled and has clearly something of a labour of love.
Wait to you guys witness the sinking of some of the many various types of vessels : stern first, bow first, breaking apart, secondary explosions; all which are relative to the location where the torps strike.
The game was fully scaleable graphically and in terms of realism. It could be easily configured to be easily accessible to those new to genre, as well as providing all of the Pro-Submariners the appropriate hardcore options.
Multi-Player was fun, U-Boats working together to pick apart convoys, brings together a useful teamworking option together as some other less programs try but fail (i.e. Dangerous Waters.)
Once again thanks UBISOFT for the game which will no doubt occupy a lot of my time.
This game rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kickass
