SHIII CommunityManual is hosted by mysh3.info domain.
I will not be renewing this domain which expires after Feb. 08.
Hosting for mysh3.info will expire Feb. 23 08.

This means if anyone would like to save information from the CommunityManual you have until Feb. 22 to do so.

The CM was suppose to be a collective effort of updated and any new information for the game. For about a year now there have been maybe a dozen new registers and about the same for any edits done to the CM aside from the overhaul I did when I first hosted it. Considering the original amount of editors, and the amount of active SH3 players the percentage of new edits is just plain sad.

Before the site goes down I will dump the SQL file (export) and retain it.
Anyone wishing to host the manual be aware the wiki software is 1.4.1 if memory serves and may not play well with newer version of SQL server which many hosting services use. Also I am not sure if the SQL dump file will import into newer version of wiki.

This post is basically to serve notice and is not up for discussion.
If you just want to post about how the CM is/was a great resource and try to blow smoke up my butt please don't waste my time.

I'd at least like to thank you once again for helping us out this last year. Kaleuns such as yourself make this forum worth coming back year after year. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

BTW, where is your WAC Tribute link in your sig. It's almost WAC 3.0 release time http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Thanks for the notice Danurve. It's a pity, but I do understand your position. I guess there hasn't been as much for people to add to the manual as there was in the past, when the game was newer.

I often refer people to specific pages in the manual, as it still contains a lot of valuable information, so I'll try to think of how best to keep it going after your hosting term ends... I have a couple of ideas.

Do you have any stats that show how much traffic (unique visitors) the site gets per month?

Thank you again for all the trouble you went to when the Community Manual needed a new home last year http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

tuddley3; I removed the link because the tribute page uses the same host, so it will be gone as well. However once 3.0 is out if I like it I may help out with my filefront page I use now for the RadioLog_Expanded Mod.

VikingGrandad; from the cpanel awstats for Dec. 07 mysh3.info.
Unique visitors 3039
Number of visits 4923 (1.61 visits/visitor)
Pages 66289 (13.46 Pages/Visit)
Hits 149660 (30.4 Hits/Visit)
Bandwidth 1.10 GB (234.04 KB/Visit)

Consider maybe -10% at least on the bandwidth due to the tribute page but the large d/l's were hosted elsewhere.

The service provider suspended the mysh3.info domain account prior to Feb.23. I attempted to access the manual at time of post and got a account suspended message. Disappointing as I had not been able to grab all the useful nuggets of information the community manual contained. Any chance of downloading SQL dump file from somewhere?

I'm fairly sure I still have a copy of the database from around a year ago. Send me a PM if you're interested, and I'll try to find it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I uploaded a non-Wiki version of the SH3 Community Manual (http://alexbret.perso.cegetel.net/index4875.html).
