View Full Version : Undead not affected by luck?

I can't say that it makes any sense at all to talk about this in Heroes 5. Luck isn't an instance of "magic" or "ability", it's random chance. While indeed undead may be droning in their attacks in a battle, this by no means implies that they cannot, by accident, hit a critical part of a unit and cause some additional damage.

Now, of course, realistically we might assume that critical hits could potentially just kill units instantly, say - being beheaded, regardless of the level of the unit, but we instead just represent random things like this as luck and leave out random calculations that might cause the "beheading" of a level 7 unit, or several of them, because this would clearly cause an imbalance. There is no inconsistency in allowing Undead to benefit from luck.

What's the point in removing that benefit?
