Ubi are most likely thinking, aww, they'll get over it when it comes to it, look, they're all still here, they can't get away even if they want to.

If you're really not going to buy SHV on account of the online business or anything else, if SH 5 really is a dead duck, let it sink. Can I suggest everyone keep away from this forum and go back to SH III/IV?

people are free to do as they wish, but although I was looking forward to sh5 ,I will not buy anything that requires constant internet connection.
The makers of 'Rise of Flight'have realised their mistake, they are changing from Internet connection required,to Non internet connection required very shortly (see their web site)
Ubisoft will eventually come to their senses I hope, sooner the better as I am 77 yeras young.

Vote with your wallet. Don't buy it until an offline version becomes available.

Let me state my opinion on this, and I am not asking you to agree with me. Boycotts are a bad idea for a type of game that barely sells enough to keep the publisher interested, and a type of game that we truly love. Ubisoft knows most of us will "buy it anyway", and I see no point in abstaining just to prove them wrong.

Boycotts should be a weapon of last resort, for reacting to unethical actions, say, if a publsiher releases a game that has problems, promises to support it with patches, and then fails to do so.

Anyway, just my opinion.

Refusing to buy something because it is a low quality product is not a boycott, it's just being a smart consumer. I admit I am not too optimistic about SH5, but I am still reserving final judgement for when it comes out.

In any case, the post is about boycotting the forum, not the game - and that is just ludicrous. A drop in activity on a forum for an unreleased game would not 'send a message' to Ubisoft whatsoever. They wouldn't even notice. shadow said it best - vote with your wallet.

Yeah, you're right http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I think my brain freezes when I see the word "boycott".
