If Farah gave the prince the amulet in SOT how come she didn't transform? [I'm new here and this probably has been posted before but I didn't find it so don't say this has already been posted.]

she still has the amulet, if u pay attention to
*SPOILERS*(READ AT OWN RISK) *SPOILERS*
PoPWW - he goes to the island, stops the creation of the sands, never kills the vizier, farah never hands over the amulet, the sands are never found by the maharaja, he never travels to India, Azad, etc. Thus she still has the amulet - the vizier is still alive

Well, doesnt the prince throw away an amulet at the beginig of T2T??
Kesuvius

In SOT,he has one,she has one.
And it's probably the "no sands" thing in WW.
You can see the amulet in her hair.

The amulet is still in Farah's possession, which we all know that it protects her, therefore the sands cannot infect her.
The Prince, for one, throws his amulet into the sea after he leaves the Island of Time and so, he cannot be protected by the sands and gets infected... but only half of his body.

***SPOILER***
the sands are now being controlled by the vizier/zurvan. he's taken kaileena's power. the sands can't corrupt her because they are under his total control. i can't exactly explain the random sand around the game http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif but the sands are suppose to be used by zurvan. all changing of humans and creatures is done at his will. that's why the people of the city haven't changed either. zurvan must gather them up and change them. that is why the minions are quoted as saying "gather up the strongest" because zurvan is building an army of sand monsters. farah does NOT have the amulet anymore. there was only ONE amulet and it's gone now... at the bottom of the euphrates river as seen in the intro movie. i hope that clears up most of the confusion.
btw, add "SPOILER" to your topic as this now contains spoilers. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

besides, the thing on her head looks nothing like an amulet. It just happens to be round as well, but that's where similarities end http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

YOUR ALL WRONG!!!!!!
Here is the real answer. In this game the sands where resleast though kialeena not the hourglass. Bucause of this the sands spread in a different way. Only the people in the area of kaileena are effected by the sands. Farah was probubly not in the area. I do beleave ubisoft talked about the sands not spreading in the same way as they did in SOT.

BTW, then how did a lot of sand creatures get transformed if most of them were not even in that area. That just doesn’t make sense.

i think they explain it by the fact that the sands rushed down into the sewers and changed the lepers... and that's about it. all the rest were changed manually by zurvan and dispersed throughout the city through the sand gates. notice how the first guys you fight after you become corrupted are still human. then you face the lepers... and they ARE sand monsters. i believe the summary of the sand monsters states that the lepers were changed due to the explosion because they were closest through the sewers (aside from the obvious changes of the generals). and yes, badar, you are correct... they change in certain ways. i actually extracted this knowledge from corey may through a series of questions in the BOPOP thread. the sands were transfered directly through the dagger to the vizier... but in that time, a bit of sands got out, as evident by the movie. but these sands stay contained in the area (with the exception of the sewers of course). again, i still don't understand the random sand in various breakable objects, but i won't think too hard into it.

Ahem... Let's see...
YOU'RE ALL WRONG!
The sands are spread through a BANANA! That's right! A banana! It's Kaileena's special banana and she didn't tell the prince because it was the yummiest banana on the planet and she didn't want to share.
Farah is protected by the apples of time. She bakes this apple pie for her dad and it's so good that the gods make it immortality pie. So anyone who eats the immortality pie becomes immortal, Farah eats it... and she's REALLY after Kaileena's magic banana, so she can be super immortal had play a game of tiddlywinks with the Dark Prince... Who incidentally doesn't have health insurance for no apparent reason.
There http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif I think I explained it. Sorry about no spoiler tags though... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Ahem.
The Prince has the Farahs amulet from his timeline and Farah has her amulet from her timeline. Think of it this way:
The Prince we see went through all the trials and tribulation of SOT, WW, and T2T, it's his story. Since he was the one changing time the changes didn't effect him or anything he had. When Farah game him the amulet that became part of his timeline. When he changed everything back in WW Farah never game the Prince the amulet... at least, not the one that she wore in that timeline. The One that she did give him in the alternate timeline is still with him. Thus She still has her amulet, and he has the one that the alternate Farah gave him. It explains everything really. It's a braintwister though.

The sands don't spread in this game (aside from the brief moment on the balcony). The palace "shakes" and "crumbles" because The Vizier is undergoing a transformation and cannot properly contain the magical energies associated with it. Hence the palace takes a bit of "collateral damage" in the process.
Once The Prince falls into the sewers, he's unconscious for several hours. During this time, The Vizier begins transforming his army (the Scythians) into Sand Monsters - and spreading them through the city.
The nasty things in the sewers are botched attempts/transformed lepers - so he sort of flushes them down the toilet.
Once The Prince reaches the guard fortress, the Sand Gates are activated which allows The Vizier to move his army around the city more easily. He continues transforming batches of Scythians + captured citizens and then sending them through the Sand Gates to populate the city.
The Arena, Brothel, and Workshop are holding pens. People are massed there and then sent to the palace in batches for transformation. The bulk of the Vizier's Sand Monsters, however, are his old soldiers (the Scythians).
Farah (and other citizens) don't transform because they aren't being hit by blast sand (ala the hourglass from SoT). No one (aside from the bosses and The Prince) are being corrupted by blast sand. They're being "made" by The Vizier. The same way The Empres made HER Sand Monsters on the Island of Time.

boy was i close... i also figured that he was unconcious for hours and the lepers were failed attempts... don't know why i didn't say that instead. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif anyway, i think i'm understandin all this pretty well. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif though, corey, is there any chance of a possible magic banana or cucumber in the following POP releases? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Well, moving away from the comedy, Farah DOES NOT HAVE THE AMULET in this game: if you listen to the Vizier before Kaileena is killed, he clearly says: We traveled to the Island of Time and found many treasure: a dagger, a staff, an empty hourglass covered in jewels, and books... so many books. NO AMULET!
