I'm scoring around 90% the first time playing though (currently level 5). This does not generate enough to qualify the song for the event. How do make it harder so I dont have a wast so much time playing the same song until it levels up enough???

I think you have two options... Play through the song again, or go into Riff Repeater, and use the leveller to bring up the individual sections.

Using Riff Repeater's "Leveler" might get you there fasting than just repeating the song over and over. Unforunately Riff Repeater only operates one 1 phrase, verse, or chorus of a song at a time, so it still might take you a little while.

Should speed up the process for you though.

Yeah that is what I was afraid of. There is an option in the settings for difficulty but I can't figure out what it does?? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

I find it's faster to play through the song once, then go into the leveller. Otherwise leveller seems to start at insanely simple, and you have to play through too many times to get it to 100%. If you go through the song once you can get most sections up reasonably high, so the leveller then doesn't take too long.

There's a setting that lest you force it back to lowest difficulty, or highest you got to. I think that might be the one you've seen.

By the way, I love the title of this post http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

mijodo: I'd recommend using the riff repeater to level your songs for a few reasons.

This game is more about learning how to play guitar than zooming through the songs in career mode to 'feel' like a rockstar. It wants to actually make you one http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

So, instead of doing it by way of song, just go into the leveler and play, play, play!

You'll get much better technique, speed, accuracy, and dexterity out of the leveler since you'll be in each section for extended periods either learning it, or leveling it up. Best way to do it imo. I just wish they took out the 5 lives / auto kick when 100% ;(

This isn't 100% true. I've found that if you level up one section in the leveler, it will level up all similar (even if slightly different) sections as well. I think it also will bring up the starting level of other sections (not 100% confident on this part.)

Right, the similar sections of the song get levelled at the same time. For me I've found it's faster if I play through the song once first before going into the leveller as I can usually get most sections up relatively high (or maxed) in one run through, then I don't have to spend time levelling sections from 10% on http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

But it probably differs depending on how well you sight read, how high you want to level the song to etc...
