tried everything i can find on the forums to get AA working but still got the lil jaggies everywhere...looks like ****

also tried various edits/hacks to get 1680x1050 on my 8800 GTS and still doesnt work...if i go anywhere above 1152x864 the game crashes even though 1280x960 and 1600x1200 are options (if i select those the game crashes when it changes after hitting activate)

i used to have a 7900 GTX and had no problem getting rid of the jaggies and using AA to its fullest and played at 1600x1200

is this a known issue with the 8800 series?

I'm still using the oblivion profile to get AA working in Vegas. I've read by others that you can force AA through the Vegas profile but I have yet to try. Here's what I did.

goto c:/Program Files/UBISOFT/Vegas/Binaries and make a copy of the R6Vegas_Game file. Then rename the copy to oblivion or oblivion.exe if you have extensions showing. Then right click the file and hit 'send to, desktop (create shortcut)'

Next goto START/control panel and open the nvidia control panel. Goto manage 3d settings and click the program settings tab. Scroll down to Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and adjust the following settings:

Set Anisotropic Filtering to '16x'
Set the Anti Aliasing mode to 'Override any application setting'
Set Anti Aliasing to '16x'
Set Vsync to 'force off'

Make sure you have shadows set to high in the game options or you might get shadow corruption. I noticed shadow corruption when I had AA set lower than 16x also. Most shadows will be disabled when using this workaround.

Now use the Oblivion shortcut you made on the desktop to launch the game and AA should be working. This only works on the nvidia g80's and you do not need oblivion installed.

that did the trick and AA works now...but . . . i loose the textures...stuff disappears...lol

this only happens when i have Set the Anti Aliasing mode to 'Override any application setting' - if i use enhance then everything shows back up but it looks like **** again...lol

i found some old SS from my 7900 GTX and they look great...still trying to tweak this out so i get it all...AA and all the textures showing up...lol

Try playing with the AA settings more. 16x AA was the spot for me but you have a different setup. Maybe 8x or even 4x will work for you. Try playing with the shadow quality in game also. I had to have mine set to high or I got shadow corruption and missing textures. Try setting yours to low and see what happens.

AA is not working in the '7900GTX' screenshot. You can tell by the roof line. Looks like the 'optimized settings' screen isn't using AA either. But you are almost there with the 'missing objects' screen. AA is working you just have to play with the settings.

Here is a couple screens in 1920x1080 with 16xAA and 16xAF all settings maxed using the oblivion profile:
