I did start a career in Pearl Harbour 1941, and during preparing for departure I did take out some Mk14 torpedoes and put in Mk10 in the equipment display, almost as in SH3. I did not find any other types of torpedoes there.

Early in the War, that's a really smart move!
The MK10 was only a 30 knot torpedo, but it had none of the MK14's terrible reliability problems. (Assuming the Devs modeled it accurately.)
As I have said before; ...A torpedo that actually goes "BANG" is infinately better than a fancy one that doesn't!

i take 6 with me on my gato every mission...i use them on the destroyers because they dont do scratch to merchant ships...i guess the warhead is too small....plus if they pass close enough to the light skin destroyers im almost guaranteed a kill so far i sank 6 in 5 patrols....most of the time i use the mk14's to wound ships by disabling their steering and rotors and when the convoy keeps moving on as they always do i just surface and sink them with some deck gun...i usually never sink a ship with a salvo of torps because they waste time with these super merchants...carriers take less fish than this merchant ships do...i even set them to explode under the ship and i dont get any results....

Okay i see we have access to MK10's and 14's. But do we have access to MK18's or 27's?

Yes, sadly though we have to look up all the torpedo data ourselves because they manual doesn't say anything about any of them. No speeds, no ranges, no warheads, no features, nothing.
