I've been having issues with Realplayer and Windows Media Player lately. What is your player of choice?

WMP, even though i think QT is a bit better.

For what application? I use multiples. I use WinAmp for OGG files, MusicMatch for MP3 files, PowerDVD for playing movies on my computer, Quicktime for MOV files, Realplayer for RealMedia files, and Windows Media Player for pretty much everything else.

WMP, it has unicode support for Russian characters.

Although Windows Media Player is more popular, Quicktime rules

As for Music, I prefer Winamp (Ver.3) over all

Music - Winamp
mpegs and avi - Windows Media Player
.mov - Quicktime
everything else - VLC Media Player (Which can play basically every format in existance.)

WMP usually, but I used to use real player the most.

WMP10 for 50% of stuff

Realplayer kept making Windows Explorer crash, and I didn't like WMP's layout. I just tried WinAmp and love it, but for some reason when I run visualizations in full screen, the screen switches to about 320x480, the image is cropped way down, and some things keep flickering at the bottom of the screen.

Same.

WMP Classic > WMP 10

It seems like every new media player has too much Player and not enough Media. Media Player Classic is a good change from this.

I always love to check the difference between WMP and Classic. Some movies won't run with WMP, while Classic runs them smooth http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

MusicMatch for music and WMP for everything but DVD's or QT encoded files (though I hate QT really, I wouldn't even buy an iPod MP3 player when I bought one last week due to my disdain of anything Apple). For DVDs, I use PowerDVD.

I guess most people, who use WMP are just to bored to search for a good player.

I have been known to use the DivX player too.

The only time I fire up the DivX player is when I run across a rare clip that WMP can't handle for some reason or other. There are some odd codecs that seem to interfere with it.
