Yeah, but I never liked them. The textures used looked like they were from R6 (low resolution), and a lot of the meshes were missing, like the computer things in the spawns of each team. They both pretty much sucked.

I think perhaps a map based on a specific scene in a movie would be cool. Perhaps the mountain village in the movie Ransom and Rescue? Or maybe from one of the scenes of the movie black hawk down? Just some ideas, cant recall too many movies right now.

My only wish would be for someone to port every map in Rouge spear to RVS
except for bunkers, omg
cuz some of the raven shield maps are lacking
definately not as classis as rouge spear
and when they come out if they do
servers need to get them in rotation

Well the 747 map is being worked on already as is the Chalet map. Hunter Johnny did an Urban Ops mappack which held quite a few maps from there. I also saw some screenies of the Warehouse district that were coming along nicely.

I miss these maps! Have Sib2, NSF and NucPlant been done yet? I still have to visit the real Met - flashbacks from 1999.

The problem at the moment is I cant ever find a server with any new maps playing on it...and when I do see one hardly any players are in their(or its on coop)...I play on european situated servers, so i don't know if this true for other regions...Anyway its a shame because there are some amazing maps out there, made by some very talented people...and this is FREE CONTENT...when was the last time UBI gave us some of that?(don't say patch 1.41)

the maker of mint just kept the original geometry and textures.
so Atlantis, you should say the ORIGINAL one sucks instead of saying the converted map sucks.
if you can make any high-resolution textures that relplace the low detailed original textures, then make your own, instead of saying other's things suck

RAD has a map pack that we like to play with many mod maps. I agree, the Met in map pack 2 was not as good as I'd hoped. Not raggin on the modder, just my observation. I always like Chalet Fall from RS.

As memdrake (I think it was) mentioned some of the maps from Global operations, but missed out the classic Quebec and the original sri Lanka maps, Quebec is a must!.
The UO maps were truly excellent and I think could all be released in Map pack (venice....). Someone asked if the US nuclear map (from RVC2 i think) is the old Covert ops map, no it isnt and basically sucks bigtime. Talking of CO the jungle map would be a nice rerelease.
Some of the RTCW maps could be ported (albeit with a lot of retexturing) although they are prolly a bit too big (thinking of Oasis in RCTW:ET).
No one has mentioned the old SWAT maps, good for CQB stuff mainly as they are specifically urban special ops maps.

I liked the idea for movie scenes to
be made into maps. The new HEAT map
was a good idea, but it doesn't feel like
the movie.

I was thinking of trying to make the guerilla
camp from Proof of Life into a map, but I
don't feel like spending the time to learn the
engine. It could have a good spot for Downtown3
and the SAW, the trail to the chopper so you can
drop a claymore, and LZ3 with tango nearby with
a flashbang. Maybe even some soundbites?

Global Operations.. what a game. It really had great maps. There was one that took place in winter, with two buildings at both extremes, each with a large court and some containers, and a middle building that acted as a natural choke point. Anyone remember what it was called? Man, GO really was a great game. Too bad there was no support for it from the Dev... just like, oh, never mind.
