The game is going to be great. it is going to be actiony and full of fun. It is going to be a game that will make ytou scream with excitment in every level.
But, the problem is that its not going to be splinter cell anymore. Stealth will not be what it was anymore, its not going to be the heart pounding "stealth action" we have known and loved. now we are going to be running around
this is turning into an action game. but on the bright side it looks like its turning into a really good action game. i sorta have mixed feelings about this game seeing as there is practically no more of the stealth weve known and loved and replaced with running and button combinations
So know all i have to see that this has to be one of the worst/best maybe move ever for splinter cell.

Its not necessarily going to be turned into an action game. You could even say that the current Splinter Cell games consist of action based scenes. Its just that action is based in a night time, and shadow environment. Conviction will use a "social" stealth and use the environment and instinct basis. Besides, there has been no confirmation or denial that there wont be night based missions. As has been posted in other threads Sam will initially start out working with Third Echelon but a split occurs and Sam is forced to flee.
Personally I like the storyline because it coincides with what happened to second echelon if you can remember the first Splinter Cell. 3E gets bogged down by bureaucratic red tape and the organisation starts to fracture or "splinter". As you can see the major players are starting to cover their own arse's and they blame the failure of 3E on Sam, Lambert, Anna etc. If you follow politics this sort of thing always happens.

Haha no need to treet us like absolute noobs who haven't read anything about ConViction. Anyways, Ubi did say that the game will ake place during broad daylight and that the first part of the game occur with under 3E's authority. And because of this I am seriously doubting there will be no classic shadows stealth. It makes no sense to have one part of a game employing a particular style of play and the other, a distinct contrast. And Ubi also said that they want the player to utilize in MP, what they've learnt in MP, which to me, implies that if there were two styles of SP gameplay, there might be two styles of MP gameplay, which isn't gonna happen.

Ahh wasnt my intention to think you were noobs lol. I just thought I would give a little background information to support my argument lol. I also wasnt implying that Conviction will route back to the old style of SC gameplay I was more getting at that the Conviction gameplay (aka wide open areas, civilians walking around etc)could be pushed into night based scenarios. I should of been more clear.
As for MP, I never really got involved in the MP side of SC so I cant judge on whats good and whats not. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif

I think he's trying to create an equilibrium lol.
Still, I concur with his million posts, excluding the fact that they all look alike..

If you thought this game looked like an action game, then you obviously havent played a MGS game. This looks like a stealth game to me.

Same here. It'll be fun to get into an occasional fight, but sneaking will still be key imo, only a different kind this time around.
