Well in sweden the universities has LOTS of socities.. or rather the student unions have...
I joined one such party socity and we go around in our party overalls and do all kinds of fun stuff together with ppl in overalls from other universities and colleges aswell as other socities at the same university... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Its mostly parties, pubs, dinners etc... etc.. all you could possibly imagine from the good side of life... LOTS OF ALCOHOL AND WOMEN!

i'm canadian... main difference between Canada and US? the legal drinking age is 19 all across canada, and is 21 in the us... that about sums it up... o, im wrong, the province of quebec has a legal drinking age of 18... and guess what, i am a 5 min drive from the province... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Alderbranchh

Well.. ok... so whats university parties in the part of america called CANADA

(canada is a part of america which makes it possible to call you american aswell... sure its more common to refer to US citz as americans though...)

NapalmFrog
10-19-2004, 09:13 AM
U CALL ME AMERICAN AND I SHALL SLIT YOUR THROAT!

okay, maybe not, but calling a canadian an amurrican is about the worst insult you can do, please don't do that again... just say north american, cause according to you ideology, brazil is american... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

anyways, depends on the people you chill with... mainly, just drink and have good times... im on living on campus, so its a tad different... but just chill with friends, listen to music, joke, be stupid, hard to explain... tho we've never gone overboard, some people upstairs have... that is just wrong...

np, i wasn't over serious... but it wasn't amusing... anyways... enough of that...

mainly we have private parties, because the universities don't endorse alcohol anymore, since they ditched grade 13 in the province. that means a lot of kids are 18, heck, i know a bunch of 17 year olds, so when the majority of first years are this young, u cant do anything about it.... so we have our own private parties

Alderbranchh

NSA: check that picture out and youll know what a clean goodlooking party overall look like... I couldnt find a pic of mine though... not while im at school...
HERE IS THE PIC (http://www.geocities.com/warlord22211/l_7.jpg)

Well we wear them as a representation of the socitety we are in... its an entire culture here...
And yes its just the frats and sororitys... although here the socities are based on what you study not by gender.

As to private parties... well all students in the city I live in are recognized as a closed party so the servings of alcohol is easy to come by.. and with student-ids being the only way to get in... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And over here its 20 years old to be able to buy good liquor... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

i dunno, but as far as i've seen here, there are no groups like your frat thingies or whatever... sure the engineers are a tad more distant, but basically everybody is one big family... well, no, but u get my drift... it makes a lot more sense than splitting the university up into different groups

Alderbranchh
10-19-2004, 09:44 AM
Well... I catch yer drift... well sweden doesnt contain that many ppl so we have to stick together with party-trips and so on... and all socities are only recogniseable due to their distint colors of their overalls and the patch they have at their backs...
So the ppl in the socities are like a big happy family... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

yeah that's funny... one sorta small group is the computer science people, like me... we are a bit odd, and spend a lot of time on our pc's, ie, me killing people in ut2k4 over lan ...

Alderbranchh

XyZspineZyX
10-19-2004, 01:40 PM
right. because you need a tap to get into the keg.

all you need for a berrel is a hammer http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif
