Help with black screen?

i bought the game today but after the crash scene it goes black and i can hear myself moving around in the game but cannot see anything. is it meant to be like this? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Check to see if your graphics card is supported. If it is then update your drivers.

m.ov or something like that and my mom says we dont have that

My screen just looks like a black screen with lines coming out from the middle...

I can hear things, I can interact with the chair, but I can't see where I'm going...

I wish someone would help.
I bought this game for $20, so I'm not sure whether it was the price.... it was a trustworthy shop.

more than likely it is your video card or you have out of date drivers.

what video card do you have?

if you are not familiar with the hardware that is on your computer you can find this information in your Direct X tool.

Click Start > Run (or start/search for vista)
in the box type DXDIAG and hit enter.

click on the display tab - the name is on the left.
