Why is the XBOX version Called "Rainbow Six 3" and the other versions called "Rainbow Six : Raven Shield" ???

errr.. Well I guess they wanted to make it clear that this is NOT a port of Ravenshield. The game is different in may ways but the idea and characters remains the same(well the characters are Clancy anyway).

Maybe RainbowSix is more recognized than Ravenshield (ie Joe Bloggs walks into a game store and sees RainbowSix and says wow Clancy! sees Ravenshield and says huh never heard of it.)

ofcourse the other possibility is that if they called it Ravenshield all the Kiwis would cry and complain about the rugby... ohh... no they do that anyway /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

It's called Rainbow Six 3 cos IT will have Raven Shield missions and it will have downloads(probably the athena sword missions and some of the missions from the second add on pack for PC).
IMHO That's why i think it's call R63.

You should become a Kiwi by supporting our national rugby teamm the mighty ALL BLACKS. But you must understand the rivalry and the history behind Australia and New Zealand. Let me take you back six years ago. New Zealand had long since adopted to the sport Rugby and since that brief peroid of time claimed it as our own. Being a small country this is how we were reconised this is what we lived for. But then Australia being the bastards that they are took it away from us. For many years we had suffered humileating losses, our spirt was dieing as so was our country, and if we looked like as we were going to win ausrtalia would win the game by a pu$sy DROPKICK eg ...JOHN ELLS. Since that time New Zealand became weaker and weaker untill................NEW ZEALAND ROSE UP AND UNITED A TEAM OF CHAMPIONS... DOUG HOWLET....JOE ROKOFOKO AND THE MIGHTY CENTRE TANA UMANGA...AS WELL AS RICHARD MACAW AND BRAD THORN. This mighty team arrived to Stadium Australia. The hopes and dreams of every NEW ZEALANDER WAS WITH THEM all those years we lived in hiding this was our time this was the game. 3 tries to JOE 1 to howlet and 1 to TANA a 50 POINT MASSICA.

Now you know our history may you embrase it....

..now you can juge... rugby is not just a sport for us its life.

Um... i think not. Both are made by Red Storm and both are published by Ubi Soft. Its not illigal to use their own trademark;\
