Just wondering, but will Haze have save anywhere, checkpoint-style, or save after every level? I'm really getting tired of games not having save anywhere, especially multiplatform releases on the PC. It's such a standard feature, yet multiplatform releases tend to rarely have it.

Checkpoints.

Um, which is pretty much the whole answer, actually. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Meh, Save anywhere is nice, but it can take all the challenge out of an SP game IMO. Checkpoints is the best solution.

Well, to each his own. I don't know why people complain it takes away the challenge -- if those people find it challenging, don't use it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I personally like it because if I have to leave somewhere for an extended time, it's perfect. I don't know anyone that saves it every 10 seconds or anything.

I for one loved quicksave in Half-Life. It allowed me to enjoy the fantastic mini-game of '1001 Ways to Kill a Scientist'. I think my favorite was attaching a laser tripmine to the side of one's head, while convincing another to walk toward me right through the proper line. Hilarity ensues.

Helps you avoid the 'Employment Terminated due to Inefficient Use of Personnel Resources' ending I got once....

But in games like Doom3 and Halo, the checkpoints generally tend to happen when I need them. Typically after significant plot points or nastly firefights, so as long as the checkpoints are placed well enough, I don't mind.
