Ok wife just badgered me into a whirlpool cabrio to replace 16yr old dryer. Seems the cabrio is high faluting, lots of bells whistles doodads sensors and all that tech stuff.

What kind of exhaust hose is best for this thing, i had a foil/aluminum hose and its been cleaned out and cut back some to reduce length, but there are also straight pipe/solid metal or flexible metal hoses.

Way dryer sits is close to wall and straight out to vent so no adaptors or elbows needed, so i guess just cut a flexible hose to about 6-9 inches and clamp it only to dryer end so it can be pulled away from wall to clean now and then???

depends on who you ask no go for aluminum foil, but why, i can understrand no go on clear plastic but aluminum worked well on other dryer for years.?????

Stug!

The biggest risk in your decision is fire. Its a real risk and it does happen. When I installed ours I went metal all the way, as few bends as possible, and no "flex pipe" - plastic or foil.
