I don't know if you guys are aware of this, but in your Xbox 360 gamer profile you can set control defaults for various types of games.

From the Xbox Live blade click on your gamer card, then Game Defaults, and Action. You can configure movement to either the left or right thumbstick.

Now if Ubisoft is smart they are simply using this setting from your gamer profile to determine which thumbstick controls movement and which controls aim. That is why it's there! Once more games adapt this feature it should never be an issue again.

I just wanted to let you know there is still hope for all your southpaw users!

That's what most of us are looking for confirmation of. Not all games support this option, unfortunately. If a designer designs their game to use this functionality, then it will work that way, otherwise, its just a nice feature of the 360 that doesn't help out much.

So now if Ubi/RSE would just pop in and confirm that the game does or doesn't use this feature, the southpaw threads would pretty much disappear.

But thanks for trying to help Justin, there are far too many others here who would just prefer to bash the left handers around here, instead of trying to actually provide constructive input into a thread.

NP. I realize it doesnt work for all games, but I doubt TeamXbox/Gamespot/etc check to see if it worked since this feature of the gamer profile has never really been used before. Since southpaw is in the Xbox version, although I know it was developed completely seperately, I don't think Ubi is trying to alienate a big chunk of consumers over something so trivial.

And if it doesnt work, I think it was a definite screwup and will be addressed quickly via a patch.

Thanks for the understanding but UBiSoft is not going to patch a simple SouthPaw feature. They don't give a ****. It is soo obvious, NOT a single UbiSoft rep have came on board to speak about SouthPaw missing from Xbox360 GRAW version, nada.

And I don't want to hear that bullsh!t that it is to late for a patch either since the game is finally in press. We been telling UBiSoft for weeks upon weeks to implement SouthPaw feature. They ignore us totally.

This is the worst customer service I have ever seen from a company....besides EA. The ONLY way UBiSoft would even think about doing a SouthPaw patch is every single Ghost Recon player complain about it in the forums, massive emails and angry phone calls. They need OUR money and they can't afford hurting their market shares and investors feelings.

I believe in karma, what goes around.....comes around. UbiSoft is going to pay dearly for ignoring their fan base.

There is southpaw on the gamer profile but it doesn't work unless the game supports it. I tried it with SC-CT to no avail. It worked with Geometry Wars demo. Hopefully more games will support it. For now we are up sheets creek without a southpaw.

SC-CT is an Xbox 1 title... there is no way it could support it. You guys are being extremely pessemistic. Why do you doubt so much they aren't using the consoles built in feature? Afterall, isn't this a "next-gen" game? Wouldn't it use the consoles next-gen features? You guys are getting pissy about something that you don't even know to be true.

I personally don't care about southpaw... there is just so much flaming going on here I thought I would let you know there is a good chance it's all for nothing.
