1) Fix the crashing and inability to connect to servers due to Punkbuster.

2) Scale the interface to specific resolutions. While I understand the game is just a port of the Xbox version - applying general polish by having appropriate sized HUDs for each resolution goes a long way in making PC owners happy.

3) Revamp the UBI matchmaking service. To put it bluntly - it's terrible.

4) Add an option to have instant switch of teams after each round. This will prevent people complaining about never being able to be a spy.

5) Correct the multitude of typos.

Everyone chime in and add more. These 5 are my main complaints.

Possibly increase performance? I know some patches for SC 1 did that. Added performance can never hurt http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

- Crash to desktop bug; well-covered elsewhere
- Quote key brings up punkbuster console while in the pre-launch screen. Should be a lesser-used key, like say the tilde key.
- "Error unexpected" - can we have a hint at what went wrong? Might help solve some problems.
- Why are unjoinable games shown in the quick search results? I can't join them, so why do I need to know they're there?
- How about sorting the server list by clicking on the headers?
- Mouse "sensibility", "Fith" freedom, and other typos that make the game look unprofessional and/or rushed.
- A way to show who's in the game, teams, scores, etc. during gameplay.

I think that the gameplay is already great, but the interface and implementation leave much to be desired.

also, bring in support for more videocards like they did with SC(the patch let users with a radeon7500 and some other cards play)

Definitely try to recognize and fix the problem with some ATI cards (9600, 9800, 9800 pro, etc.) having really jagged shadowing textures. I have a 9800 and the shadows look like outlines for a regular nintendo character. Haneous lookin'!

4 above... I believe it already exists. just select "Revenge" in the server setup, it switches teams on the same map before changing maps.

I'd also like to see some better support for the headset, which is the best thing about the game. Things like, showing who is talking both in the game, and in the setup screen. Also, having icons next to people's name if they're using a headset or not. I've spent way too many games trying to get my teammate to talk to me when he doesn't even have a headset.

Ahh, I wasn't aware of the 'Revenge' option. Thanks for the heads up.

Also, your ideas for the headset mic issue are another thing I'd like to see implemented.

Well, for one, sensibility is a perfectly legit word for what the option does...look it up... and two, the error unexpected occurs when you attempt to joina full game... But i'll agree on the other mistakes, no one has mention the 'Mire Options' in the otions tab somewhere... i think mouse. Also, this one;s for real now. The 'show full games' option does not make a difference.

The first 4 are definetly a must for me. Those have to be fixed or Ubi Soft will be explaining to me why I paid for a game that they didn't let finish cooking in the oven. I would also definetly like them to fix the ATi card problems. Like the guy said above, I have an ATi Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB graphics card and the shadows and Night-Vision still look jaggy.

C'mon Ubi, this is getting stupid. First you release a patch for the demo, and nothing at'tall for the paying customers, and now there's more bugs in this game then under a rotting tree. Get off your bums and do something.

how about after u have neutralized or sabatoged the canisters ,it should make u then escape back outside before u can win. It would make the game that much more challenging. not to mention more realistic.

Nitpicking here but fixing the various spelling errors within the text of the game:"Alarm Snare deSactivated" and a few others. I think the dev team is from France or something.

It's called Extraction

SigurRos7
03-27-2004, 09:09 AM
Agreed, the typos infurate me. They just shouldn't be there. You work on a game for a few years and you should catch simple spelling mistakes.

CriztyLHazE
03-27-2004, 09:13 AM
He knows what extraction is. Just because you have to return to the insertion point doesn't mean you have to be extracting something. Do you think it is realistic to hack the last ND133 and win unscathed, when a merc is two seconds from killing you? No...just like real life you need to be able to get your *** out of enemy territory, no matter what the mission is.

Well if they made you always run then every game type would be extraction, not neutralization. I think that the objective for the spy in neutralization is just to neutralize the chemical. The spies life isn't important. That's just from a logical realistic point of view.

CriztyLHazE
03-27-2004, 09:42 AM
How is it logical that a field agents life isn't important? What if they happen to get captured (again, thinking outside the game for a more realistic perspective).

"Fisher's life isn't important; if he gets captured just let him tell the enemy all of our secrets, no big deal."

See the problem here? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

And it wouldn't be considered extraction because you aren't extracting anything, just yourself (which like I said should be done anyways - but it is just MY opinion). Just like in SP, you have to make it to the extraction zone, so why should MP be any different? :P
