hey,
I just got this game yesterday and i cant decide on what weapon to use. I like to use SMG's but are assault rifles better? Or what are the advantages of using a smg? and what are the best guns in this game?

Many people here have a set weapon they use all the time, but I switch between the vast majority of them alarmingly often. I've always found that if you're doing rubbish a change can mix things up enough to help.

But as External-Light has pointed out, you need to be comfortable and my method may not work for you. Try out the weapons and I'm sure there will be one you'll like.

If you use an Assault Rifle properly then they can often be more deadly than a SMG. That is not saying SMG's do not have their place, they are very good at close range and accurate.

It is all up to personal prefrence, I originally used SMG's but then started to find that I was getting picked off at distances by people with AR's so I switched and improved as I was no longer out ranged.

However when running around on tights maps (Casino Vault) sometimes having a SMG can be a plus.

The best thing to do is play a few T-Hunt games and try out the weapons and find what you are most comfortable with.

With regards to weapon stats, the differences between each weapon in a particular class is marginal so don't let these influence your decision too much.

After you have found a gun you are comfortable with go online and have some fun. Personally I preferred Team Sharpshooter matches to start as on normal Sharpshooter matches if you are just starting it can be frustrating keeping getting killed, at least with a team match you have some backup.

Also being new some advice, if you ever play team games talk to your team. There is nothing worse than being on a team when nobody talks to each other.
