What do you look for in music?

Lyrical: meaning the meaning of the words and if they have an impact.

Vocal: meaning the quality of the coice and back ups singing.

Musical Talent: (Being mine) meaning the talent played in the instruments heard (drums guitars ect.)

(or are you that shallow person who looks for the looks of the band members)
...You guys arent that stupid that I had to explain right? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

EDIT:(No Offense in this message. I did not imply you guys were really stupid.)

This same topic is a few threads down. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif Anyway, i look for the musical talent, and the lyrics. And if there's feeling in the music. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

it's all about the msuic, especially the bass lines... evrything is icing on top of that... there is a reason i ahte acoustic versions, no depth, and they usually end up leabing the bass guitar out... do they not know that there are acoustic basses too? wierdos

I'd prefer all three, but just about everyone agrees that Rush (my favorite all time band) is sadly lacking in the vocal talent category. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

True, but Geddy is one hell of a bassist though http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

All three are superb at their chosen instrument. A friend of mine once described Rush as a "musicians band", because you really had to know how to play an instrument to appreciate the level of skill they display.

their all 3 very important.
music's gotta be good, that's obvious. but it's gotta be played and sung with feeling. It has to have a personal touch of the musicians/vocalist. And of course the voice has to be good. A good band can't be succesful without those three elements IMO

I love geddy lees vocals. If anything I like them alot. This is the reason why I like coheed and Cambria. But the best is neal pert. Whatadrumma
