Realy Bad Lag

I just got this game today and every server i join it lags so bad its unplayable but what i dont get is that my brother has the same pc same game and everything and his works prefectly what can i do to fix this lag i tryed alot of things allready like Xing out everyother program but nothing works what can i do?

Its a Windows Xp Duel core Processor
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor 3800+
nVIDIA Geforce 6100 graphic card
2.0ghz 2x572KBL2 cache 2000 Mhz
I hope this is what you need.

The lag is stuttering.

The GF6100 is a little on the low side.
Get the newest drivers for all of your hardware

Try looking at the tweaks in the Legal Tweak thread sticky.

Turn everything down in graphics, and then work your way up.

Try defragging and scanning for spyware and viruses.

Go to advanced video options and turn off Antialiasing, Vsync, anostropic filtering and set image quality to performance.

Nick, either move onto less demanding games (read: Games done for PC only or Optimized for PC as opposed to Console ports UNOPTIMIZED for PC) or spend 300 bucks on a good card to be able to play the game only fair after doing all the TWEAKS available here.

The game is good for an SP arcade type game (and I like them as well!) but it is not a Tactical Shooter game (if you were expecting that, Forgettaboutit! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif).

Can't comment on MP cos I don't do MP but if you take the time to read the forum for a few days, you can catch up on that one as well... the little I have read, is not at all good (much less with your Rig!).

Others will tell you is very fun to play and that they are not having problems with it. Before you believe them, ask them what specs their PC have so you can compare apples to apples instead of apples to oranges.

There's a big difference between lag and frame rate stutters. With your video card, it's probably frame rate stutters. Go get the program FRAPS and run it. If you're under 30FPS, go buy a new video card. You also did not mention how much RAM you have.

So it's quite a good card for the low price, but it might be smarter to go for a more high end card, but if you can't afford high end then buy a 7600gt..
