Okay, so I've beaten Double Agent a grand total of about 6 times. Love the replay value. But I keep getting the same ending over and over again, in which that Splinter Cell/sniper guy shoots and kills Enriqa, Fisher mourns her and then lays in the snow waiting to slit that guy's throat, and then after doing that, he uses his knife to cut the subdermal implant from his head, and then tells Williams that he is going to be hiding so that nobody can find him.

Is this the best possible ending? Kinda disappointing IMHO, even though i am a noob on this board. I've looked on the internet for clues such as going back into previous missions and making difference choices than before, and also trying to diffuse different combinations of the bombs in the 2nd JBA stage, and I keep getting that same ending and I don't really think it's the best possible one...

...Is there is a different ending I can achieve somehow? Anyone help me out please? Remember, I have the Gamecube version of the game.

Also... what is Sam's overall agenda in Conviction? I'd like to know. From what I've read, all he is really trying to do is run from and avoid all the government agents that are swarming the place looking for him -- but through a whole game? I'd like to know what Sam's focus is in this game, what's he trying to accomplish here? Is he really abandoning 3rd Echelon? Does this game tie up the ending to Double Agent? I get the very sad feeling that Ubi is trying to wrap this story line up so that there won't be any more Splinter Cell games... :-(

Thanks!

Yes, that is the only possible ending that you can get. Anyways, the story from SCDA doesnt necessarily continues into SCC since there is a whole different story going on. The senior producer of the game said that things have "cooled down" since SCDA(2 years ago) so it isnt a part of SCC's story.

If you have read more the story of the game is: Sam finds out one of his old time friends Anna Grimsdottir(if you havent played SC 1-3 you may not know her) is in some type of trouble and Sam rejoins the NSA/3E at the beginning of the game. Soon finds out the organization is corrupted and gives him wrong intel and equipment on missions. He leaves and continues on his own and becomes a fugitive to find out what happened to Anna and also by the meantime the NSA is chasing him and want him dead(another mystery of the story you have to find out).

Did I miss anything? Im not sure...

Honestly, that ending sounds pretty sick for a SC game. The endings to the other 3 games were nothing special at all. And the 360 versions ending(s) aren't great either.

Yes, that is the only possible ending that you can get.
actually there are more endings, but they are just short cinematics during the credits. It depends if you defuse the bombs in JBA HQ 2. So there's ummmm....4 different endings in old gen DA.

It all depends on what you blow up, kill, or let happen. The endings are not all that great in any scenario anyways.

Hey MKCC14 that was a very great and excellent answer and it covered all bases very well so I thank you.

What I think is sad though is the fact that I spent $39.xx on a videogame that was supposed to have multiple possible endings, but my particular version (gamecube) only has just the one ending, and I paid the same amount of money for a game version that is, in my opinion, of much lesser quality than what the other version were. I feel cheated... simple because I can't afford to go buy an Xbox 360 to play the better version on.

Actually the 360 version is like $50-$60 USD.

Last time I went to walmart it was $39.99. It was already down 20 bucks.
