I hope it's better than the free content for Mass Effect. Bioware set fans up with the Cerebus network getting our hopes up, and the content other than the alternate costumes and armor are unremarkable to say the least. Hardly worth paying for the Cerebus network, or buying the game new so that it's included.

What's sad is the paid content they just put out while extremely well done, feels tacked on, and is boring as all hell. Let's keep our fingers crossed! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/sleepzzz.gif

Hmm, you didn't think zaeed or the hammerhead were good incentives for buying it new? That was good free content imo. In fact, I used zaeed on my first playthrough. Loved his inferno grenade and his loyalty quest. Of course, if you hated zaeed then it was worthless I guess.

I hope I'm proven wrong by this....but I don't think this Thursday content will amount too much.

Is the Multiplayer basically Deniable Ops with a 2nd player, and Deniable Ops on the main menu just 1 player?

Didn't know you could retrain and get inferno without cerberus network. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif However, it is much better to use as zaeeds ability since it just auto hits instead of being thrown. Haven't picked up the hammerhead dlc since I'm still playing mega man 10, but I've heard some good impressions over on the BW forums.

Edit: Sorry to hear the kasumi dlc is below par. It looked like it was going to be worth getting.

This is great news. Just more reason for me to like Ubi-soft. They always give me free stuff.

Free weapons and cosumes would be great.
And if down the road they release more multiplayer and or co-op modes and maps I would not be opposed to that even a little bit.

There was a suggestion as a joke on another message board for a Sam Fisher in a superman cape. Ha that would actually be pretty kick-***.

I wonder if the Prince or Ezio or Altair will make a cosume apperence down the trail with this. those would be pretty cool as well. I could definitely see a Prince costume hitting the DL around the release of the movie or new game. Little bit of cross promotion again. Not like they haven't done THAT in the past with in Fisher's games.

I'm guessing they will do this for a few months (maybe 3).

Each month will have 4 weeks of something different (I am guessing)

1 week will be a deniable-ops map
1 week will be a free theme (or something lame)
1 week will be a weapon or 2
1 week will be a suit or skin

And this is why Ubisoft remains as one of my Big 3 developers, right behind Bioware but ahead of Rockstar. Can't wait for more content for this great game. I'm hoping for D-Ops maps, outfits, weapons but other than that I don't want to be greedy.

Here's some food for thought.

At least one suit and several weapons (FAMAS, MP7, etc) are missing from the full game, but we saw them plenty in the trailers.

Before you praise Ubi for free content you should stop and think about that. I bet you money that most, if not all, of the "free content" will be the guns and suits they removed from the game prior to release.

The USB drive content isn't really content.... I guess it is. It's just wallpapers and videos and whatever. I want the drive, I don't really care for the stuff. I won't be so dissapointed if it's broken though.

I say free is free. I am happy that there is free content for us, even if it isn't the best. I will indeed miss Spies vs Mercinaries. Odd part is, the new content this Thursday is the same day that Xbox Live support will shut down for all Original Xbox games (hmmmmm). Even If we get 2 vs 2 multiplayer I will be happy. Co-Op revolved around team work and to have a two-on-two deathmatch seems natural. I thought and think the only way it will work if it was team voron vs team 3E

Yeh well, it takes time to make a great game. SP:C will be sub-par to 'greatness.'

Some (myself included) would argue it is not sub-par. Also, it would be SC:C.

Not always. Battlefield and Mass Effect 2 had Day 1 DLC to new purchases over used so they can give something extra to abolish the Used market.

I'm not that fussed about any DLC for this game other than deniable ops maps. Even one more map would extend the replay value considerably. I just hope Ubisoft realize that.

I don't think it's too likely that they'll release maps for free to be honest. But then again, they did for Rainbow Six Vegas.

Did you ever consider that its to save space on the disk? x360 disks aren't that big you know, and making free DLC can save space. This is just one theory, but you need to consider the options and not just immediately assume "its unfinished". Besides, its free. If it was day 1 DLC that cost money i would be nerd raging right now.

I dont have the game so i may be wrong, but im pretty sure that Deniable Ops = Infiltration, Hunter, and Last Stand while Co-op/Multiplayer = Prologue and Face Off.

On topic: I would personally like to see the Iraq suit for Deniable Ops and also the option for the classic wetsuit for SP http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Will these last or are they 1 day deals? I don't think they will release more and more content to clutter the marketplace. If they are 1 day deals then having them free is really expectable

Having DLC already probably also means either the disc is full already or the game was unfinished afterall

Besides that 2 problems. HDD space and loading times. I much prefer my ODST multiplayer disc over Halo3 disc multiplayer because of those

Free content is free content. Don't blame Ubi if you hype up what might be included and are left disappointed/"misled" in the end.

I would be pleasantly surprised if it included any actual maps or anything bigger than weapons/skins/wallpapers/avatar stuff/etc. If they give us maps for free, how are they going to convince us to pay for whatever they plan to release on the marketplace in the upcoming months?

Does anyone have a problem with free? Of course, getting some STD for free cause you hooked up with the wrong person at a party is bad, but free game content is GOOD!

First of all, I believe the Content (I'll refrain from saying DLC until we know the nature of said content.) is mostly a demonstration at this point. I would hardly say Bad Comapny 2 is a sub-par game, and the DLC so far there has been fantastic. If they continue this demonstration of Content (I suppose they will) then it ought to be a plus, not a minus. If you're getting updated every thurs, it's not bad, even if the content is lame, it supposedly is free.

I think they would charge for them. Probably wouldn't be expensive, probably all be in one big DLC pack, or individually for the cost or half the cost of an Avatar full outfit.

You do realize once the game has gone gold its finished right? The game went gold like 3 weeks ago. 3 weeks is plenty of time to create new small things like guns and outfits. If its free who cares, now if you have to pay for it 2 days after the game comes out thats a different story.

Complaining about free content is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. And it'll probably just be weapons and costumes, though I hope for maps and modes. But, I was reading something, and the extra stuff that comes with the international collectors edition is "early access" to those weapons and costume, so im sure they'll release that

A new mode or hunter/infiltration maps would be amazing though.

Certainly nothing to complain about, but I wouldn't Ubisoft for content that could've purposely been omitted from the final product.

BC2 likely did it to win over fans who are playing MW2. 15 bucks for dlc for new maps, or free maps? It's a pretty good way to win over more fans and keep them playing BC2.

The MP7A1 machine pistol. It goes in your secondary slot, but is one handed, so you can use it while hanging from a ledge or behind a human shield.
