Hi! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I just wanna know if the game uses OpanAL or DirectSound3D API and wich Creative EAX version (2.0, HD 3.0, HD 4.0 or HD 5.0?). I need this info to bestly set the game audio under Windows NT 6.x. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif

I know the game runs under the Unreal Engine 3.0, wich is OpenAL compilant, but i find in the bin root game directory a config file for DirectSound3D http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif

Regards.

I try to enable 3dsound back for the alc hd audio... 3d sound is restored, but there are same crack and pop issues.. I try with the default settings and than now i set low bueffers as 20.. but the pop and cracking issue aren't completly vanished.. Before I try yo use Creative Alchemy, wich one is more difficult to set couse it has more options and variants, are there "official" settings for these two applications? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Alchemy is easy to set up. All it needs is the directory of the game.

Vegas 1: gamepath: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas\Binaries

RavenShield: gamepath: c:\Program Files\Red Storm Entertainment\RavenShield\system

Vegas 2: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2\Binaries

alchemy isn't so easy when the defualt settings doen't work correctly: it has buffer size and duration size options, wich aren't easey to set. Vegas 2 and vegas 1 and rave shield don't use the same game and audio engine. I don't have time to try all possibile settings for the game. I just wanna know the pefects settings for Vegas 2 or if it is possibile tu use directly the openal .-.
