I know this subject and this game is close to some you these results really prove the forums comments over the last 6 months, lets face it all they had to do was ask us. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Its a good read and the results are very obvious.

While I didn't read the whole article, the biggest reason for the differences could be the drivers, as noted early in the review, for Vista. nVidia may still need to tweak the drivers for PCs running Vista while the XP drivers have had years to mature.

Same here, I gave up on Vista after the 3rd install ending with the same result, the Vista engine gets bloated, buggy and messed up. I am back on XP until the problems get solved because at the moment Vista is still in beta.

Vista SP1 might help tremendously but I still believe you won't get the true monster out vista until SP2 comes out and that's a long time from now.

Anyone who switches OS's within the first year or year and a half is paying to be a beta tester. XP Pro wasn't much to brag about till they patched the heck out of it.

I'll wait for Vista. I'm also not allowed to use the MP3's I ripped from my CD's w/out having to get "licenses" for all of them. I have the discs, I shouldn't have to jump thru hoops to use the content I paid for all the way back to where state of the art was cassette tapes.

I can play my MP3s with Musicmatch Jukebox on my Vista Home Premium (came already installed) laptop without being asked for any licenses. Funy thing is, there is supposedly an error of some sort when I first start MMJ, yet it works fine.

Vista does take some getting used to, but it has grown on me over the past 4 months. I can play GR, JK: JA and FS 2004 even with the integrated Intel Graphics card. That's enough for me while on the road.
