Graphics cards price drop... WHEN?

I'm in Korea (Asia) right now, hence the price drop will happen a bit later than in the US or UK, i suppose. But even in the US or UK, I still haven't heard anything about the price drops. I thought the X800 is out already... why aren't the prices of 9800 and 9600 series dropping?

Okay, when it finally does, will the drops be significant? I might be being a bit too hopeful, but I'm expecting them to become only a bit above half their prices now... what do you think?

well being on a seriously low budget at the moment in middle of GCSE's ill be first in line for a 9800 when or if they do drop

I think the price drop people have been referring to will occur more after the X800 XT is released than anything else. My reasoning for that is that the 9800XT is currently the "top-of-the-line" card (i know the x800 pro is out...but hear me out). So after the new flagship card, ie the x800 xt, is released, that will cause price reductions on the other models, becuase they are no longer the cream of the crop.

that's my 2 cents...hope i'm at least partially right!!!

Too hopeful? Then can you give me a better approximate of the price drop? Of course, nobody REALLY knows until things happen, but if someone knows the pattern of these price drops and stuff...

If the price drop ain't significant, I think i'm going to just get one now... there are a few games i have right now (including farcry) that is just rotting away... hehe

So, anymore predictions?
