No matter what version you get it on it's awesome. Single player is great, but a little too short, and online is deliiiiiightful.

Personally I wouldn't get it. For various reasons. Here are a few. No UBI support. Major glitches. High learning curve. There are a few. I wouldn't. Just wait for SC3.

Even if you'll be a noob to it, everyone is at one time, and the game is great. As the person two posts above me said, single player is kind of short, but it is fun, and online is simply amazing (as long as you find a good game to play online, away from glitchers and deathmatches). I myself dont have an xbox, but Im getting one, and Ill buy SC3 for both. I'd say go for it. If you're still unsure, you could get Splinter Cell 1.. it's mega cheap and its a great game. I bought it used for $20.00 Canadian, so it can't be that much.

Don't get it for the PS2. Buy an XBox and buy the XBox version.

Don't just buy an Xbox for SC:PT. The game for Ps2 is great. I have it and I tinks it's great. I don't wqant to start a console war but if you get Xbox and just get it for SC:PT it's not worth it. I thought of doing that but I waited for SC:PT to come out for Ps2. The glitches ar a pin in the a** but I just tell them to stop or leave.

if you have an XBOX (i don't, but 50 of my friends do) you can play Halo and other games on it. the load times are faster and fewer. having a PS2, i think you should get it regardless. think of it like this; more time to spend with Sam!

For Xbox you have to pay for live. AND ON PS2 IT IS FREE

If you had an Xbox and Live, then you shoudl probably get it for Xbox, but seeing as you don't, get it for PS2. There's really very little difference between the two games.

Logically now...
SCPT for PS2 - $40-50
SCPT for Xbox + Xbox + Live subscription - $300-400
