I can't seam to get past the British supplies missions. I potrol for days and nothing. When ships finally show up and I sink them I am destroyed by a "LOT"of warships. Any Advice? TIA

Try to allow convoys to approach you as apposed to catching up with convoys. Work out there course, and sit and wait for them to full on you. Then sink 3-4 ships and then dive to maximum possible depth, rig for silent running and reduce speed to slow.
If worse comes to worse and you find a convoy late on approach from the side at a 90 degree angle at ahead flank until you are just out of range of destroyer blasts, then dive to periscope depth, maintain ahead flank until you are either slightly ahead of convoy (depending on it's speed) or in range of long range torpedo markers. Then reduce speed to minimum slow speed and launch fish once you have a lock on target.
Always remember when being hunter by destroyers. Never speed up the time of the game. Maximise depth and run silent. So run silent run deep... Also maintain a relatively evasive course whilst keeping a eye on possible overlaps for depth charges.
