Volcano help - **spoilers** (sorry)

Hi,

I know that there is a 'Tips, Tricks ...' thread (could we make it a sticky?) but I can't find Volcano level stuff and if I use 'Search' it doesn't show much.

I have just got to the double doors and can't get across the Volcano to the other side. I have read a walkthru that suggests some funny business with a chair to block one of the doors but it's a right fiddle.

Are there any tips or help as to how to get across? Sorry if this is asked all the time and please ignore if it is annoying but I am really stuck and want to finish before starting HL2!

I can kill the first wave of fat boys ok but can't get across or know how to kill those jumpers.

Thanks but it seems mostly about Boat level or am I missing something?

The chair thing worked for me. It litteraly is just a walk in the park once you push the chair over the first door so it wont close. The fatdaddies will just stand there and uselessly taunt + shoot missles strait ahead. Tuck yourself in at the bottom left hand corner, in the door where you enter it in. Just prone and leisurely unload your ammo on their heads, if they launch rockets, they impact the structure in front of you, causing no damage at all. If you need anything just walk back and get ammo, health, ect in that ammo room!

btw, dont forget to SHOOT the chair there, dont litterally push it!

You are not there yet. You have to defeat the goons on the lower level and take an elevator upstairs to the armory.
