may sum1 explain to me the patches

I understand that u need patch 1.3,1.31,1.33 to play the game but what are the rest of the patches for?

and are tehre other patches that can fix error loading issues?

oh and what mods are there and do you need to download them from a website?

Hey Mango,

Patch 1.1 DO NOT USE!! released virtually at the launch of the game. All the bits that worked are superseeded by 1.3

Patch 1.2 DO NOT USE!! Disaster. Only patch in computer gaming history to be officially withdrawn... Well maybe not the only one but you get the idea http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Patch 1.32 DO NOT USE!! Screwed up the servers by allowing lower patch level player to join the game, but once they were in their presence cause the serve to crash. All the good bits from 1.32 were included in 1.33

At time of writing 1.4 hasnt been released. There is a leaked early alpha version circulating but it is not supported by eith Crytek or Ubisoft. DO NOT USE!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Now back to your problem, you get that error when the game hasnt been patched corrrectly.
You must run the patches in order.
1st 1.3
2nd 1.31
3rd 1.33

So to get back to where you should be... what order did you run them in? Essentially you need to re run each patch in reverse order and select remove.
Once you have done that from the uninstall menu on the CD/DVD select repair.
Then finally apply the patches in the right order as specified above.

Ah, I'm glad someone sorted out the patch stuff. I definately spent some time searching for 1.2, just because I'm OCD and want to make sure its all installed in order. Glad I didn't find it, I guess.
