Cannot join Internet games

I hoping somebody here might help as I have email ubi support with dxdiag etc twice but never heard anything.

My rig is as below and I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, using latest drivers, directx etc.

When I join a server I can get to the weapon selection screen and RUP but I get disconnected.

My rig I believe is ideal for this game as it's fairly high spec:

AMD 64 X2 3800+
2GB RAM
Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe
Western Digital SATA Raptor 74GB 10,000RPM
Radeon x1900xtx
Creative SB Fatality
XP Pro SP2 (upto date)

I used to have an issue with where my game would loop every few seconds but that was fixed with a patch from AMD and the 1.2 game patch.

Playing on Gamespy

You may experience difficulty connecting to Gamespy if a firewall or anti-virus blocks the following ports:

Local Ports
UDP 15250
UDP 13139
UDP 15250

Remote Ports
UDP 15250
TCP 80
TCP 6667
UDP 13139
UDP 27900
UDP 27901
TCP 28910
TCP 29900
TCP 29901
UDP 29910
TCP 29920

You try opening all these ports? Sounds like your packets are being cut off to the server and you get disconnected. Maybe a firewall or Router issue?

I have no problems connecting to gamespy to login and opening is generally only necessary if you wish to host. To test this I did put my pc in a DMZ (all ports open) and that made no difference as I expected.

Further investigating leads me to believe my processor and this game are not compatible atm, the graw.exe does not utilise both cores of my processor (AMD 64 x2). I only say this as I cannot play single player today at all and the gui for the game locks all the time and examing cpu utilization shows one core at max the other 0%.
