Its like all the current threads were deleted but we kept our post counts. Can anyone explain what happened please?

The forums are going through their regular "maintenance" checks, according to 13th Monkey. He said none of the threads will be deleted...

i know the threads were not deleted because i found them using my profile and search for posts link. I was just wondering why threads from 2 months ago have overtaken the up to date ones on the first page is all. Now i know thankshttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

why keep the last 23 pages? tho.. i neer read past the 1st page.. normally only at most down to 2nd 3rd down

They keep all the pages so that people can find old threads if they need info from them, and when they migrate to a new forum system they usually transfer only so many pages.
It is usually less than a day that the forums are screwed up like this.

It has been at least 26 hours since they were made aware of the problem. They could have purchased entirely new equipment, reinstalled an operating system, and done a restore by now.

What is taking so long to fix what is clearly either an index problem or a sort order problem?

Who caused this problem infopop or a ubi tech?

I seriously want to understand what happened. If it was a more signicicant problem then I can understand why it would take a while to fix. Someone who knows please explain.

i dont see it as a problem, all the threads are still there, just takes some looking for is all. Only side affecr i have seen is that some 2 - 3 old threads have been necro'd because people didnt think to look at the dates.

besides it isnt the game that keeps you interested so much the company you keep with it. I willing to bet alot of the players here would agree that they would have wiped this off their hd if they didnt have the partner they have to play the game with. I know if Duke wiped the game i prolly wouldnt be too far behind.

Don't know about that. I have no partner. I have people I usually play with but no partner. Maybe Im just stubborn, but theres no way in hell this game is comming of my hard drive. Not unless the HD dies again. That wasnt cool. My old one is sitting beside me... Two days past warranty it dies. freakin maxtors...
oh and at 1:15 am eastern time there were 8 ppl online. 8! i was sad and came here.

Are you aware that UBI.COM is having problems with there forums. Data is either missing or is not showing the recent data first. This is making your software look bad. I don't know who's to blame but if I were you I would want to know so that I could either help them fix it or at least light a fire under them.

for example

the topics jump from november 30 to august 12. While I know for a fact that there has been many many topics between.

Well they certainly are quicker than the MODS of this forum and UBI Customer Support, that is for sure!!! Maybe they care how they are represented to their customers, no matter how small they are. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
