I'd like to do away with the constant trimming in this and other sims like IL2 and Pacific Fighters. I've flown airplanes that you have to trim all the time and while that's fine in real life it's a pain in a game. I understand that it's more realistic and it should certainly be available for those who want it but I'd like to have the option of not doing it without incurring a performance or maneuverability penalty.
I'd like to see the aircraft fly out of trim after a change in power setting, load, altitude or minor damage, then after a few seconds regain trim thereby simulating the trimming of the aircraft.
It also wouldn't hurt to have the option of having the aircraft always be in trim. Not realistic for non-FBW aircraft but a boon to the casual or novice gamer.
Rant over.

You mean an Up Auto system like the one in F/A-18E
That option could be good, but for me I can't live without trim because got so used to it in FS2004 I wan't to trim manually once I'm in the Final leg.

F15 automatically trims in LO, just in case you didnt know.
And TBH, you can get by flying flankers brillianly without ever touching the trim, MiGs too despite all that nonsense about having to be perfectly trimmed out to turn, it takes about 1 min to trim a ru jet with keys sometimes, you cant be trimming and dogfighting too.
As long as when you have to you can pull back on the stick more than far enough to execute an evasive manouver - neutral trim is good enough for that.

F15 trims automatically in LO ?
I'm rather new but how would this done?
I mean I jump into the plane, take off, zip around and unless I do manually trim for level flight, 'ol betsy climbs or dives.

It does it itself. If you maintain a constant speed it should hold steady, or at least as steady as can be acheived with manual trim.
