multiplayer problem

WHen I create a multiplayer game, the options for sub selection and crew selection are completely missing. Also my join button is greyed out. Any ideas?

Something contradictory in above post. Are trying to 'join' or 'create' a multiplayer game?

I figured out the join problem, the ports were blocked. But still when I try to create a game those options are missing.

Evidently,

LAN play in SH4 does not operate the same way as in SH3 - no players hooked up? Tuff, game won't start in SH4 (which means I can't try the convoy commander thing offline). It did in SH3 (turning LAN play mode into a rather nifty random mission generator).
