Delayed demo becasue the multiplayer sucks?

yes it worries me why they are leaving the demo so late, could it be the multiplay sucks really badly, so what we do is, release the demo AFTER the official game release becasue they know everybody will buy it. THEN realise the mp sucks... i wonder.

So far the mew multiplayer footage looks dreadful.

You know, I'm pretty damn sure that multiplayer trailer is the xbox version. There is nothing in that video that suggests the 360 couldn't do it looking as sweet as the singleplayer. Have faith people.

There is no reflectivity
The draw distance is rubbish
There are no more than 4 soldiers fighting (i can't be bothered to check this for sure)
The explosion effects are very toned down
The mini-map is not 3D
There are no real time shadows

It just shouts XBOX 1 at me... I highly doubt it's footage from the 360.

Well you would be wrong because that vid was in OTS view.....only playable on 360.

I think the multiplayer footage looks insane. It's like a cross between Battlefield 2 and regular GR.. on the 360 of course, i dunno if you're talking about reg xbox.

That was an old build folks, which is quite obvious to anyone who follows video game development, particularly of the next-gen nature. I'm pretty certain the final product will look just as good as the other multiplayer videos we have been able to see. All of the multiplayer game types and scenarios are from the same exact engine, not quite as good as the single-player build, but clearly next-gen. There's nothing to worry.

But if you are worrying, wait for the demo, even after the game's launch if that's what it takes. Let the multiplayer demo determine whether you buy the game or not, and then decide if you want to buy it. Don't whine like a little baby on this message board and annoy people needlessly because of insecurity issues.

The demo has not been delayed because there was no release date confirmed for the demo, just a bunch of no-name websites trying to make a name for themselves. Major Nelson said that it would be within a week of the game and since he controls the content on Xbox Live, my guess is that he knows more than we do when the demo will drop and based on what he said and a number of other sources, we can expect it around the launch of the game, perhaps right after.

Why make a demo for after the game's release? Because the demo is not for people who have pre-ordered the game, it's for people who are on the fence or are not interested. This gives the demo life after the game's release. So just so that everyone knows...

THIS DEMO IS NOT FOR YOU GUYS...

...since when would a company spend excess money and manpower soley for providing guaranteed fans a minimal taste of an experience only days now away from all of them. It doesn't make any sense. All of Ubisoft's preview demos come out a month or two in advance (Chaos Theory, Far Cry). The ones which come after, like Rainbow Six 3's multiplayer demos, are used to garner new fans, not maintain old ones who already own the game.

If it comes out early, great. If not, I won't lose any sleep.

in all the recent videos they say that you can play OTS or first person so i dont know how accurate that is, i have a feeling that its other a xbox 1 build or just a really ****y video

This is why I am looking for confirmation that two different engines are used. That gametrailers video looked great... now people are saying that single player and multiplayer use totally different engines. Were they just making that up?

Yes, head over to GT and check out the in-depth MP interview with in-game footage. You'll see the menu screens and options + tons of XBOX 360 version gameplay (doesn't look at all like this latest MP video at the Gulch). I'm not worried AT ALL. This game's Single Player Campaign, Co-op online Campaign and Multiplayer modes are going to be FRAGG'n AWESOME!

They did say that. It was just so long ago, that I can't remember where it was said. I believe I read that the multiplayer was a modified GR:SS engine, and the single-player was built from the ground up. I can't confirm that, but I'm certain they run on different engines.
