I was just in a game lobby when somehow someone hacked my chatting system and typed in stuff that I didnt say but it had my name on it at the beginning. Someone joined my server and it after a few seconds it started saying stuff like, What are you gay?! with my name tagged to the beginning. How the hell can this happen.

Mind telling me how you do it?

It's not a hack. Someone just writes something, puts x amount of spaces, then types your name and continues to type.

I gotta admit I think this is ****. Making it look like someone is saying something they are not. This has happened to me as well.

See this earlier post regarding this very issue:

I love how the general public thinks everything out of the ordinary is 't3h h4x0ring' http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

They don't know any better. Needless to say Danb this isn't a hack. All that would be required to fix it would be a validation of the maximum message length used in the console.

Thank you for clearing that up. Would someone tell me in more detail how it is pulled off?

If you see two messages coming at same time, youll know its that ..

Two guys came in my server and tryed to make the guy banned ... but instead, they both got a big ban in their face http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And it will apear right under ur messge u typed..... and it will look like the ytyped it some ppl find it interesting. and i admitt when i found it out a very logn time ago i liked to use it but only on friends....
But now its just kinda boring and lame.

There was another way, learned it in PT. But not gonna say what it is ofcourse. I never do it. It wasn't the large amount of spaces thing...

The best way to fix it is just make it so subsequent lines of text from the same message are indented a bit. That way, it's impossible to make it look like someone else typed something.

No . you seen the Chat Window Thread ?

Would be impossible to re-produce the color ...

All the proposed solutions have no finesse. Change the color? Indent each message?

Just set it so the names appear in a completely different column, like in IRC.

<pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">
Name1: blah blah
Name2: blah blah

Name1: blah blah -space space space space-
Name2: i suck
Name2: nice try moron
</pre>

lol i said the same thing in ANOTHER thread.
Actually, by mentioning it so much, i think he is trying to earn something by the amount of posts or something, or trying to get a congratulations or something like that.
