View Full Version : HEY UBISOFT YOUR TECH SUPPORT PAGE IS BROKEN!

Seeing as I can't post this anywhere else, I'll do it here.
I'm trying to contact UbiSoft Tech Support to get a manual key for my SH4 upgrade. When I try to use the tech support portal page, it takes me to a login screen. When I enter the username/password combo and hit ENTER, I get this message:
"The site encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later or contact us if the problem persists."
What is really dumb is the "contact us", it's a link right back to the login screen, which only fails again if your try to use it. It's circular and there seems to be no way to contact these guys.
Even trying to contact the UbiSoft webmaster to notify HIM of the problem doesn't work...

A lot of times this can happen because of the security being to high on the web browser that you are using. What you will want to try to do is to delete browsing history and cookies. Lower your security settings. You can also try downloading Fire fox. This should allow you to access the support pages.

I tried accessing the site from my wife's PC running XP-32 SP3 using both IE and Firefox and get the same results.
As a matter of fact, clicking on about half the links on the UbiSoft site causes the IE to shutdown on my PC... (both 32 and 64 bit versions)... So it's hard to keep a session open... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif
[EDIT]Also tested with Firefox under Ubuntu 8.10 and IE under Window 7 beta. No go... same results.

Hmm, I actually have had issues trying to navigate the support site for the last couple of days. It seems to be working now for me though. They may have had to reset the server.

UBI soft seems to have many tech problems! Ive hade mroe tech issues with games I bought from them then any one else. Great games but buggy with no tech support. Great games but buggy with no tech support. Yeah, that seem to be about the long and short of it...

I don't know if it's the changes they made when they created the new Ubi.com home page or what, but now, whenever I try to even visit the FAQ's section of the Support, it just bounces me to the registration and account details page.
If I click cancel, I'm back to the home page, if I go through the registration pages, when it gets to the end, it again bounces me back to the home page, there seems to be no way of getting to the support site at all now! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/bigtears.gif

Yep... same thing here...
I can't believe how lame this is. There's obviously a problem that needs to be fixed. Even message "we're working on the problem" would go a long ways. The way it feels now is they've got my money so who cares?
