Expansion pack and/or map editor

I just want to say what a truely unique(its truely unique to me) and engrossing game.
My only gripe is that there are only 13 territories and I want more. Are there any plans to release the map editor as seen in the Tech Video 1 on YouTube(or some variant), or an expansion pack? I think it would be awesome to open up the game to the boundless creativity of the game's players. Also on wikipedia it is mentioned that more simulation(wind etc) might follow, is this true? If so is there an eta?

There was something about an expansion pack on Wikipedia, as well as an editor if the sales were high enough.
