View Full Version : Communications breakdown between Ubi and customers

As you may have guessed from the subject line that the only problem I have with UBi is their lack of communication with its customers, especially on their forums. I understand they have a job to do but just think how far an official statement would go towards the problems they've had (ie.. the black pack, the red pack, and even some of the long over do patches). I have seen other game dev's do this when things need to be patched or feedback is needed(examples Red Octane responded to a serious issue with their controllers for GH2 and some other bugs that required patching, EA got feedback on what some refer to as cheesing a fast qb for its NCAA titles along with some other bugs and how to fix them, the makers of TDU resorted to the forums for glitches they had not being able to race in certain races and what vehicles should they add in the future DLC's, and the list can go on and on).

How many times do we have to resort to rumors and people flaming UBI (the countless post that already do so) or Microsoft because they are up in arms about what the heck is going on? In my opinion it would be wise if just one Dev took 3 minutes out of the day (only during times where trouble with the software, DLC, etc... is apparent and needs to be rectified ASAP) to give an A JOINT official word (no more microsoft did this or UBI did that) on the situation at hand and how that could go along way in keeping casual customers happy and loyal customers... well loyal.

Those are just my thoughts, and I know Im bound to be flamed or idk something else but if you are mature enough to have a valid open minded opinion I would love to hear yalls thoughts on the matter.

The official statment about the black pack is as follows:

Oringinally posted by TW_Night_Fox:
My official sources tell me that it was a marketplace SNAFU. Anything else you hear is a rumor.

It should be back up sometime tommorow or possibly today as they are fixing the problem with the marketplace.

Well its free now, whether it supposed to be free from the beginning, who knows. Maybe they read this forum and realized how pissed some people were and decided to make it free.

I am glad that UBI really stepped up with making it free http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif it still doesn't solve the communicado problem but it goes along way toward making the right strides to do whats right by the customers.
