Does anyone from Rocksmith actually read and post here or on the Facebook page? I guess I got spoiled by Rockband because those folks always seem to be around to answer stuff.

Anyway, I've been playing this since release day. Fired it up today and it froze at the "Loading save data..." screen right after pressing Start. I've restarted the console several times and the same thing happens each time.

I've swapped out other games and they load and run just fine. Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions? I've been practicing every day and don't want to miss days. Thanks.

Have you tried deleting the game data? If you got a new disc and haven't deleted the game data from the first copy, the new disc is just going to be playing from the old save. Try that and see if it helps.

Hi,
I encountered at the same issue as rocksmithnoob encountered.
But if I try to playing the game from different profile it works, (off course it with out any old save data).

Can you please suggest how to fix that issue, that i will be able to load the save data from my profile and continue the game from where I stopped (I already got level 8) ?

Thanks,

I haven't made any hard observations yet but Rocksmith started randomly freezing on me at one of the splash screens (Embryo something?) during the past week. I just quit the game and reload but this is definitely new behaviour and I've been playing since release day last October.

Could my disc be getting damaged by so much use?

Oddly enough the very same thing happened to me today after I received an XBOX update. Try clearing your cache as recommended in other posts.

Here's a link. It worked for me! :D

Good luck and lemme know if it works.
