I have been experimenting with building maps to the effect of creating custom game mechanics and think I have something successful, built from ideas I tested in the much played Custom Mode Beta.

Its a new map for PS3 authored by FC2CUSTOMMODES & sonadadark1 called Custom Mode Warfare, built to serve as archetype for a new, user-created game mode of the same name for FarCry 2. I wonder if anyone else has tried anything like this or wants to get involved in expanding FarCry 2 Custom Modes if this turns out well. I have several other ideas coming down the pipeline already. I think we could really give the game a second wind of fresh ideas.

CUSTOM MODE WARFARE, HOW TO PLAY:
Play Team Deathmatch: you will spawn mostly at forward guardposts facing off against enemy guardposts across the no man's land which constitutes the main battlefield.

You may capture enemy forward guardposts to deprive the enemy of their forward guardposts and to move the front towards their base; capture all enemy guardposts to pin the enemy down in their base, which should greatly improve your team's chances of winning by kill count.

Don't let the enemy take your guardposts.

To capture a guardpost players must keep a position there, specificly by staying near the team-color guardpost sign. These will be the only team color objective signs used.

White objective signs show directions to guardposts, but signs are not posted for the benefit of attackers, only defenders.

You can play CTD and Uprising in Warfare mode as well, significantly increasing the challenge in holding all the necessary locations.
