Game won't run

OK, I've been through the tutorials above, I have the boxed game so I've installed both patches in sequence, updated my drivers, defraged the machine and the game still won't run. It used to freeze just after the loading screen just as you click on "New Game", Last time it locked into a sound loop when I was being told to get a spider key. Once it locks up the only way to get out is to re-boot because Alt/Tab and Ctrl/Alt/Del don't operate.

The specs. of my machine are as follows, Asus Extreme Gaming Mobo. Nvidia 7900 GTX 512 Mb Graphics card, AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.21GHz processor with 2 Gig of RAM. Well above minimum standards for the game.

Any clues???????

I only tried using Alt/Tab to try and get out of the game, NOTHING was working, the only way out was to re-boot. This is in single player mode, I have only loaded that section from the DVD. as I don't play games on-line.

What are you referring to when you say mm-key? The 25 character code from the packaging? If not where will I find it?

I have been through that entire tutorial, and after a week of trying problem solved...I have uninstalled this piece of garbage and thrown it in the bin where it belongs.
