Four Tomahawk paint schemes plus assorted Rounds/Flashes only versions for your enjoyment. Made with Leadspitter's template and some ingredients from Jester's-Ink, TonyT, and FlyByShooter.

Aircraft included are:

AK402, coded GA-F, No 112 Sqn RAF, flown by Plt Off Neville Duke, LG 13 Sidi Haneish South, Egypt, November, 1941. When No 112 Sqn first started receiving it's Tomahawks in June 1941, they were finished in the Curtiss delivery colours of American aircraft industry paints, matched as closely as possible to the British Temperate Land scheme. Colours consisted of DuPont 71-009 Dark Earth, 71-013 Dark Green, with undersides in 71-021 Sky Gray. The green areas were overpainted in either Midstone or Light Earth, whichever was available, by maintenence units or at the squadron level, in order to help the aircraft blend better with the local terrain. Codes were painted a very light colour, perhaps white. Serials in Night. Note how the serials were masked when the Midstone was applied, leaving an area of the original DuPont paint show.

AK475, coded GA-J, No 112 Sqn RAF, El Adem, December, 1941. At the end of 1941, 112 Sqn was starting to apply Azure Blue paint to the undersides of it's Tomahawks.

AK498, coded LD-C, No 250 Sqn RAF, flown by Flt Lt Clive Caldwell, LG 123 Maddelena 3, Lybia, December, 1941.

AN311, coded TA-C, No 2 Sqn SAAF, flown by Lt Danny Saville, El Adem, 21 November, 1941.
