my specs:
athlon xp 3200+ overclocked past 2.2 ghz
512 corsair xms series ram
ati 9600 pro 128 meg overclocked

all i can run this game at a playable rate is at 800x600 and sometimes 1024x800 IN LOWEST settings, while in SC1 i ran it at 1024x800 on medium-highest settings and on all other games i run at 1280x1024(most monitor can support) near highest details

im just wondering if there is something wrong w/ my comp at this game or something

Well, while you do have a good CPU, you only have 512 Ram, 1 gig is always much better, and while your 9600 is overclocked, I'm not sure its the best...I run everything fine on high, however I go get lag online, but not offline. Perhaps another stick of 512 would do the trick? Good luck.

That's quite strange, considering PT ran pretty well on high detail and 1024x768 even before I gave my comp a mem upgrade and started experimenting with overclocking.
(System specs: P4 2.4 Ghz, 256 megs of RAM, GeForce Ti4200 w/128 megs; changes were adding 512 megs of extra ram and overclocking the vid card)

ram has nothing to do with it..

as long as you arent running alot of programs while you run scpt, your 512 is just fine..

edit your default.ini file in your scpt folder and make sure yuor monitor refresh rate is the same as scpt..

Wierd, my dad's computer runs it fine. With no graphical lag.

Specs of his comp are as follows

1.5GHZ Pentium 3
9600 XT 128
512 MB ram
Sound Blaster Live!

Ehh the game is ported and its not the best game to test your computer on.

But i know one who had the same problem but he had the same cpu and gfx but he had 1gb ram and still lagged on every res that was wierd.
but when he got his x800 everything whent fine the game was smooth as wather :P.

but just play with medium why bother you play mp for the funn not the graphix.

Exactly.

The strength of MP is of course the gameplay.

Psycho graphics is for Single-player games that you "wow" at for 2 hours, and then it gets boring. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif
