It means players may not be able to join your server of course.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif .. I'm not sure if it's a bug or not.. because it has happened to me once or twice... back to back.. doesn't do it anymore though.. go figure.

It's cuz your router sucks. Get a Linksys.

oh yes, it must be because of my NON-EXISTANT ROUTER, please don't assume that i have things on my pc, ******s.

Oh, gee, I dunno, I only got that idea because NAT is a router protocol. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Do you have a firewall?

Try not to disable it, and allow SCPT acces to the net when the Firewall ask you.
This happened to me today, cause I've upgraded with the patch, if I disabled the firewall and try to creat a game it will give me that error, so I just enabled the firewall and when I tried to logg in, a window popup saying that SCPT had changed, and if I wanted to give it acces to the net, y clicked yes, and problem solved.

I hope this helps you.

well, since there is no network address translation taking place on pc at home... the NAT error baffles me.

i was able to host a game one night, and played for a few hours with people.

then i tried to host the next day and, bam NAT error.

NAT would proably be a router issue he is correct, but since i also do not have a router it must be something else.

ps: btw, NAT is not only used in routers... it is used in a multiple computer setting, where one IP is used to address multiple computers (read router or ICS)

so that other comment about 'gee i hope he doesnt say ICS' also makes no sense...

LOL at your comments suicidal. i love when people ASSume.

i had the same problem. i'm running XP, but my firewall was already disabled. so i quit out ( i think ) and recreated a game and i've never had the problem since.

If you have Zonealarm or another such program try shutting it down. Worked for me. I can host games again.

Multiplayer Name(PC): Rulear
AIM SName is the same

I got the same error. You guys wanna fix it or flame eachother?

When i create a game it says, "NAT resolution failed players might not be able to join server."

All that error means is that there is something keeping the server from being seen by the internet.

The cause could include routers, firewalls, ISP blocks, really really high ping, etc.

I have the same problem on a regular basis. I have no router, but I do have a switch (Im cheap) and I am running Zonealarm. I tried shutting ZA down, didn't help, tried bypassing the switch, didn't help, tried allowing shadowstrike_static_retail ALL permissions, didn't help, opened up my network connection properties, checked EVERY setting, opened EVERY window... Now it works. ??? Now whenever I want to host I have to open the connection settings and check everything!
