A quick message for the guys who joined in the to sue or not to sue post.

When I left here i went back on the game and crashed out several times. Not nice. Anyway fed the old batteries and settled back for a night of carnage.

So there i was, sat in my cabin all hatches closed, blinds drawn, the only light source my screen, boat not moving, apart from the odd barely noticeable roll. Obviously my cabin is both above and below the waterline so you feel and hear the odd water sound running along the hull. Might sound sad but it's quite atmospheric in its own way.

Anyway back to the game, i'm crawling along into position getting ready to do some serious damage to the fast approaching task force. Even though they never see me im playing the game, short checks through the periscope, pushing forward trying to judge the optimum position and angle, itching to let fire. Finally after however long, tense with anticipation I have the range i want, wham off go the torps for two targets. A quick check astern and yes, its a long shot but i might get lucky, so off go the rear. Down periscope and prepare to hide, but hell they rarley see or sink me, so up periscope and lets watch the fun. Oh, that destroyer is getting close shall i run or stay and watch? ok just a little longer. Come on.. Come on.. there should be a hit by now. Then Bang! strike 1! then 2. Suddenly my screen judders, i have a moment of weightlessness and as i look up my boat slams into the water with a massive bang that judders right through the hull. WTF i thought i'd been rammed! for real that is! While quickly glancing aroud for leaks
and damage, heart beating like a hammer, just about to throw myself up on deck, reality sets in. Some idiot went by way too fast in his motor cruiser, now i could hear him, making a hell of a wake in the marina, just a very big lift on a wave and a massive hull slap for me after he went by, totally harmless but loud and shuddering. I have been rammed and never felt as vulnerable as i did then. I was so bloody wrapped up in what i was doing I had no idea what the hell was happening, unsure whether to check the screen or my boat! I nearly s**t myself. Laugh? God i was in hysterics, I haven't laughed that much in ages, laughed untill it hurt, still am.

The game has its problems we know, but that little escapade tonight is worth more than whatever i've handed over to Ubi. It does show what SH4 can be even in its present state, fun aside though lets get that patch.

Well said....

Good hunting!......
I know I am a smart *** sometimes. I want it working right too, but hey....I think they had to patch the robots in 'Westworld' also!

cheers!

My only problem is the A key crash and a lack of anti aliasing.

Although my PC isn't an out dated piece of terd.
